1EN: AND in the end of the sabbath, when it began to dawn towards the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalen and the other Mary, to see the sepulchre.
1FR: Après le sabbat, à l’aube du premier jour de la semaine, Marie la Magdaléenne et l’autre Marie allèrent voir le tombeau.
2EN: And behold there was a great earthquake. For an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and coming, rolled back the stone, and sat upon it.
2FR: Et voilà qu’il se fit un grand tremblement de terre, car un ange du Seigneur, étant descendu du ciel, s’approcha, roula la pierre, et s’assit dessus.
3EN: And his countenance was as lightning, and his raiment as snow.
3FR: Son aspect était (brillant) comme l’éclair, et son vêtement blanc comme la neige.
4EN: And for fear of him, the guards were struck with terror, and became as dead men.
4FR: Dans l’effroi qu’ils en eurent, les gardes tremblèrent et devinrent comme morts.
5EN: And the angel answering, said to the women: Fear not you; for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.
5FR: Et prenant la parole, l’ange dit aux femmes : « Vous, ne craignez pas ; car je sais que vous cherchez Jésus le crucifié.
6EN: He is not here, for he is risen, as he said. Come, and see the place where the Lord was laid.
6FR: Il n’est point ici, car il est ressuscité comme il l’avait dit. Venez et voyez la place où il était ;
7EN: And going quickly, tell ye his disciples that he is risen: and behold he will go before you into Galilee; there you shall see him. Lo, I have foretold it to you.
7FR: et hâtez-vous d’aller dire à ses disciples :Il est ressuscité des morts, et voici qu’il vous précède en Galilée ; c’est là que vous le verrez. Je vous ai dit. »
8EN: And they went out quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy, running to tell his disciples.
8FR: Elles sortirent vite du sépulcre avec crainte et grande joie, et elles coururent porter la nouvelle à ses disciples.
9EN: And behold Jesus met them, saying: All hail. But they came up and took hold of his feet, and adored him.
9FR: Et voilà que Jésus se présenta devant elles et leur dit : « Salut ! » Elles s’approchèrent, saisirent ses pieds et se prosternèrent devant lui.
10EN: Then Jesus said to them: Fear not. Go, tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, there they shall see me.
10FR: Alors Jésus leur dit : « Ne craignez point ; allez annoncer à mes frères qu’ils ont à partir pour la Galilée : c’est là qu’ils me verront. »
11EN: Who when they were departed, behold some of the guards came into the city, and told the chief priests all things that had been done.
11FR: Pendant qu’elles étaient en chemin, voilà que quelques-uns des gardes virent dans la ville et annoncèrent aux grands prêtres tout ce qui était arrivé.
12EN: And they being assembled together with the ancients, taking counsel, gave a great sum of money to the soldiers,
12FR: Après s’être assemblés avec les anciens et avoir pris une délibération, ils donnèrent une grosse somme d’argent aux soldats,
13EN: Saying: Say you, His disciples came by night, and stole him away when we were asleep.
13FR: en leur disant : Dites : Ses disciples sont venus de nuit et l’ont dérobé pendant que nous dormions. —
14EN: And if the governor shall hear this, we will persuade him, and secure you.
14FR: Que si cela arrive aux oreilles du gouverneur, nous l’apaiserons et nous ferons que vous n’ayez pas d’ennuis. »
15EN: So they taking the money, did as they were taught: and this word was spread abroad among the Jews even unto this day.
15FR: Eux prirent l’argent et firent selon la leçon reçue. Et ce bruit s’est répandu parmi les Juifs jusqu’aujourd’hui.
16EN: And the eleven disciples went into Galilee, unto the mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
16FR: Les onze disciples s’en allèrent en Galilée, sur la montagne que Jésus leur avait désignée.
17EN: And seeing them they adored: but some doubted.
17FR: En le voyant, ils se prosternèrent ; mais il y en eut qui doutèrent.
18EN: And Jesus coming, spoke to them, saying: All power is given to me in heaven and in earth.
18FR: Et Jésus s’approchant leur parla ainsi : « Toute puissance m’a été donnée dans le ciel et sur la terre.
19EN: Going therefore, teach ye all nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
19FR: Allez donc, enseignez toutes les nations, les baptisant au nom du Père, du Fils et du Saint-Esprit,
20EN: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world.
20FR: leur apprenant à observer tout ce que je vous ai commandé. Et moi, je suis avec vous toujours jusqu’à la fin du monde. »
