1EN: AND when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalen, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought sweet spices, that coming, they might anoint Jesus.
1FR: Lorsque le sabbat fut passé, Marie la Magdaléenne, Marie, mère de Jacques, et Salomé achetèrent des aromates afin d’aller l’embaumer.
2EN: And very early in the morning, the first day of the week, they come to the sepulchre, the sun being now risen.
2FR: Et, le premier jour de la semaine, de grand matin, elles vinrent au sépulcre, le soleil venant de se lever.
3EN: And they said one to another: Who shall roll us back the stone from the door of the sepulchre?
3FR: Elles se disaient entre elles : « Qui nous roulera la pierre de l’entrée du sépulcre ? »
4EN: And looking, they saw the stone rolled back. For it was very great.
4FR: Elles regardèrent et observèrent que la pierre avait été roulée de côté ; or elle était fort grande.
5EN: And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed with a white robe: and they were astonished.
5FR: Entrant dans le sépulcre, elles virent un jeune homme assis à droite, vêtu d’une robe blanche, et elles furent saisies de frayeur.
6EN: Who saith to them: Be not affrighted; you seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified: he is risen, he is not here, behold the place where they laid him.
6FR: Mais il leur dit : « N’ayez pas de frayeur ! Vous cherchez Jésus de Nazareth, le crucifié : il est ressuscité, il n’est pont ici. Voici la place où on l’avait déposé.
7EN: But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee; there you shall see him, as he told you.
7FR: Mais allez dire à ses disciples et à Pierre qu’il vous précède en Galilée ; c’est là que vous le verrez, comme il vous l’a dit. »
8EN: But they going out, fled from the sepulchre. For a trembling and fear had seized them: and they said nothing to any man; for they were afraid.
8FR: Sortant du sépulcre, elles s’enfuirent, car le tremblement et la stupeur les avaient saisies ; et elles ne dirent rien à personne, parce qu’elles avaient peur.
9EN: But he rising early the first day of the week, appeared first to Mary Magdalen, out of whom he had cast seven devils.
9FR: Ressuscité le matin, le premier jour, de la semaine, il apparut d’abord à Marie la Magdaléenne, de laquelle il avait chassé sept démons.
10EN: She went and told them that had been with him, who were mourning and weeping.
10FR: Elle alla l’annoncer à ceux qui avaient été avec lui, et qui étaient dans le deuil et les pleurs.
11EN: And they hearing that he was alive, and had been seen by her, did not believe.
11FR: Eux, quand ils entendirent qu’il était vivant et qu’il lui était apparu, ne (la) crurent point.
12EN: And after that he appeared in another shape to two of them walking, as they were going into the country.
12FR: Ensuite, il se montra sous une autre forme à deux d’entre eux qui cheminaient, se rendant à la campagne.
13EN: And they going told it to the rest: neither did they believe them.
13FR: Ceux-ci s’en revinrent l’annoncer aux autres, qui ne les crurent pas non plus.
14EN: At length he appeared to the eleven as they were at table: and he upbraided them with their incredulity and hardness of heart, because they did not believe them who had seen him after he was risen again.
14FR: Plus tard, il se montra aux Onze eux-mêmes, pendant qu’ils étaient à table ; et il leur reprocha leur incrédulité et leur dureté de cœur, pour n’avoir pas cru ceux qui l’avaient vu ressuscité des morts.
15EN: And he said to them: Go ye into the whole world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
15FR: Puis il leur dit : « Allez par tout le monde et prêchez l’Évangile à toute la création.
16EN: He that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall be condemned.
16FR: Celui qui croira et sera baptisé, sera sauvé ; celui qui ne croira pas, sera condamné.
17EN: And these signs shall follow them that believe: In my name they shall cast out devils: they shall speak with new tongues.
17FR: Et voici les miracles qui accompagneront ceux qui auront cru : en mon nom ils chasseront les démons ; ils parleront de nouvelles langues ;
18EN: They shall take up serpents; and if they shall drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them: they shall lay their hands upon the sick, and they shall recover.
18FR: ils prendront des serpents, et s’ils boivent quelque (breuvage) mortel, il ne leur fera point de mal ; ils imposeront les mains aux malades et (les malades) seront guéris. »
19EN: And the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God.
19FR: Après leur avoir (ainsi) parlé, le Seigneur Jésus fut enlevé au ciel et s’assit à la droite de Dieu
20EN: But they going forth preached every where: the Lord working withal, and confirming the word with signs that followed.
20FR: Et eux s’en allèrent prêcher partout, le Seigneur travaillant avec eux et confirmant (leur) parole par les miracles qui l’accompagnaient.
