1EN: Masters, do to your servants that which is just and equal: knowing that you also have a master in heaven.
1FR: Vous maîtres, rendez à vos serviteurs ce que la justice et l’équité demandent, sachant que vous aussi vous avez un maître dans le ciel.
2EN: Be instant in prayer; watching in it with thanksgiving:
2FR: Persévérez dans la prière, apportez-y de la vigilance, avec des actions de grâces.
3EN: Praying withal for us also, that God may open unto us a door of speech to speak the mystery of Christ (for which also I am bound;)
3FR: Priez en même temps pour nous, afin que Dieu nous ouvre une porte pour la parole, et qu’ainsi je puisse annoncer le mystère du Christ, pour lequel je suis aussi dans les chaînes,
4EN: That I may make it manifest as I ought to speak.
4FR: et le faire connaître comme je dois en parler.
5EN: Walk with wisdom towards them that are without, redeeming the time.
5FR: Conduisez-vous avec prudence envers ceux qui sont hors de l’Église, sachant profiter des circonstances.
6EN: Let your speech be always in grace seasoned with salt: that you may know how you ought to answer every man.
6FR: Que votre parole soit toujours aimable, assaisonnée de sel en sorte que vous sachiez comment il faut répondre à chacun.
7EN: All the things that concern me, Tychicus, our dearest brother, and faithful minister and fellow servant in the Lord, will make known to you,
7FR: Quant à ce qui me concerne, Tychique, le bien-aimé frère et le fidèle ministre, mon compagnon au service du Seigneur, vous fera tout connaître.
8EN: Whom I have sent to you for this same purpose, that he may know the things that concern you, and comfort your hearts,
8FR: Je vous l’envoie tout exprès pour vous faire connaître notre situation, et pour qu’il console vos cœurs.
9EN: With Onesimus, a most beloved and faithful brother, who is one of you. All things that are done here, they shall make known to you.
9FR: Il est accompagné d’Onésime, le fidèle et bien-aimé frère qui est des vôtres. Ils vous feront savoir tout ce qui se passe ici.
10EN: Aristarchus, my fellow prisoner, saluteth you, and Mark, the cousin german of Barnabus, touching whom you have received commandments; if he come unto you, receive him:
10FR: Aristarque, mon compagnon de captivité, vous salue, ainsi que Marc, le cousin de Barnabé, au sujet duquel vous avez reçu des ordres. S’il vient chez vous, accueillez-le.
11EN: And Jesus, that is called Justus: who are of the circumcision: these only are my helpers in the kingdom of God; who have been a comfort to me.
11FR: Jésus aussi, appelé Justus, vous salue. Ce sont des circoncis et les seuls, parmi ceux de la circoncision, qui travaillent avec moi pour le royaume de Dieu ; ils ont été pour moi une consolation.
12EN: Epaphras saluteth you, who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, who is always solicitous for you in prayers, that you may stand perfect, and full in all the will of God.
12FR: Epaphras, qui est des vôtres, vous salue ; serviteur du Christ, il ne cesse de combattre pour vous dans ses prières, afin que vous persévériez à accomplir exactement et avec pleine conviction tout ce que Dieu veut.
13EN: For I bear him testimony that he hath much labour for you, and for them that are at Laodicea, and them at Hierapolis.
13FR: Car je lui rends le témoignage qu’il se donne bien de la peine pour vous, et pour ceux de Laodicée et d’Hiérapolis.
14EN: Luke, the most dear physician, saluteth you: and Demas.
14FR: Luc, le médecin bien-aimé, vous salue, ainsi que Démas.
15EN: Salute the brethren who are at Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church that is in his house.
15FR: Saluez les frères qui sont à Laodicée, ainsi que Nymphas, et l’Église qui se réunit dans sa maison.
16EN: And when this epistle shall have been read with you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans: and that you read that which is of the Laodiceans.
16FR: Lorsque cette lettre aura été lue chez vous, faites qu’on la lise aussi dans l’Église de Laodicée, et que vous lisiez à votre tour celle qui vous arrivera de Laodicée.
17EN: And say to Archippus: Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.
17FR: Dites à Archippe : " Considère le ministère que tu as reçu dans le Seigneur, afin de le bien remplir. "
18EN: The salutation of Paul with my own hand. Be mindful of my bands. Grace be with you. Amen
18FR: La salutation est de ma propre main : Moi, Paul. Souvenez-vous de mes liens. Que la grâce soit avec vous ! [Amen !]
